Postpartum Recovery Basket

After a lot of research and some input from some moms I know,  I've assembled my postpartum care kits. One for the downstairs bath and one for upstairs.  They're definitely not the most glamorous, but it will be nice to have everything that I may need for when I return home from the hospital. 

Here is a list of what I included:

• witch hazel antiseptic (great for making padsicles and for adding to the peri bottles for rinsing down there)
• hemorrhoidal cream
• gentle hemorrhoidal care wipes (for wiping down there once you're able to)
• cooling hemorrhoidal relief pads (smaller and great for putting in your underwear)
• Earth Mama Angel New Mama Bottom Balm (came highly recommended at our birth class, said to apply after every bathroom visit)
• Dermoplast (with the blue lid - for pain and itch relief)
• peri bottles (for when you can't wipe down there)
• Always maxi extra heavy overnight pads (always step down from the hospital pads they give you)
• Always infinity overnight pads (the next step down for when bleeding lessens)
• Colace(a breastfeeding friendly stool softener)
• Tylenol and Ibprofen for swelling and pain
